This software is unbelievable. I’ve been on the fence for a few weeks, and decided to buy it just recently. It’s hard to tell by just looking online if it really lives up to the description. The videos looked cool, and the capabilities sounded amazing. I researched a few message boards and other fishermen were raving about it, so I pulled the trigger. And boy, does it live up to the description!!!
First, you can view extremely detailed lake maps on your computer. If you’ve ever sat in your garage, in the winter, looking a bunch of little contor lines on your chartplotter, then this alone is a great feature. But it gets even better. You can actually search on a bunch of different criteria and it highlights target spots. For example, you can search on species of fish, time of year, depth range, types of structure, vegetation and other conditions and it brings back the exact GPS coordinates. And it actually brings back spots on lakes I’ve fished that were very successfull! Also, you can view any spot in 3D, which is incredible. I’ve been fishing over some of these spots for years, and I’ve always wanted to see exactly where the shelf or humps were at. Now I can. It’s uncovered some of my favorite spots….spots that I thought were secret (until now).
The export works great with my Lowrance H20. I haven’t tried exporting to Google Earth and viewing on my iPhone but I hear that works well too. Rather than spend thousands in on board chartplotters, I recommend spending a fraction and geting this software. It does so much more than anything else I’ve seen. If you love fishing, this is the best product you can buy. I can’t imagine how much time this will save me!
